Got a call from Dave Smith Auto today, they added another $3000 in dealer cash on a Chevy Duramax WT3500HD dually, which sealed the deal for me. Right around $42,500 before taxes. I will add some graphics and wheels and this truck is going to look great! They have one more at this price if anyone is interested.....

P.S. Ask for William...they have 130 sales people, but he is one of the best.....bought my last two vehicles from him.

Eldon that looks like a good deal. I have half that is a 15 year old truck with high miles. I have not looked at "new" trucks in 20 years. They had gotten so high in relation to new I stopped looking. I figured diesel, dually, crew cab would be closer to $60K.

I want 4.10 rear end and no floor shifter for 4 wheel drive. And they don't want me to take my 5th wheel hitch out of my trade. The price ends tomorrow but these guys put sales on all the time. There're the biggest GMC dealer in the mid west.

I kinda like the no frills of the floor shifter and the 3:73 rear end (you can always shift down). I always try to buy without a trade unless my old needs work...makes everything simple. My choking point is the sales tax out here :-(

If you want to get fancy and shop the small dealers you will be up over 60k on most. These trucks are the end of the 2016 run, so they are putting some pretty good incentives on them. After getting good money selling my 04 Dodge, and the $$$ from selling my green tractors I will only ding my bank account for around $11k :D

Must be a 2016. The 2017 HDs will be arriving soon. The 2017 Duramax has been completely redesigned and now puts out 445 SAE certified net horsepower. So dealers are motivated to get the 2016s off the lot before the 2017s show up.

Also, GM introduced a fifth-wheel prep package in mid-2016; I think dealers are having trouble selling trucks that were built without this package.

If I was going to buy another truck it'd be a Duramax,I have a 99 F-550 Ford been a great truck but a friend has a Duramax and it is really good.A good price too I'd say as I paid
$32,000 for my F-550 in 1999 just a cab and chasis.
