How long will this load of wood last you ?

About three seasons. I know it's a Chevy but that must be some awful light and dry wood. A load of the wood I cut loaded that high
would put the bumper on the ground.
 
Looks like maybe I should get rid of my Dodge and get an old chebbie.
Two of those loads would last all winter.

that load of wood would last about 2 weeks in my dad's fire place. It will take a 36" stick of wood with room to spare. when i was in high school, i would split 7 cords of wood starting in August with hammer and wedges; no hyd. log splitter, dad said he already had one. if i missed the bus, i was splitting wood. dad and I would drop the trees along in May and let them season all summer with the leaves still on. we would start cutting the along in August. hottest part of summer here in Texas.

that's what happens when they say so much a pickup load reminds me of when my brother used my 78 f250 to get some gravel to do some concrete work I got there the next day to help right down to the axle when I came home with it latter it bounced so bad looked and it had flat spots on both rear rims
 
If he can get it to Minnesota, I'll take three loads. Those rear tires must be filled with cement, or there's
blocks under the frame.
 
How many times have I seen someone put a
ridiculous load in an old half ton.

Years ago at the COOP they'd put a full
pallet of feed in the back of someone's half
ton and off the go. Doubt they'd do that
today for the liability.
 
That would last about 3 weeks in my boiler. I had a 76 F250 4x4 that I used to stack up higher than the cab with green oak but not that high. I used to haul 2 1/2 tons of feed on it.
 
Well, most of it wouldn't make to the end of the driveway without falling off, breaking something, flat tire, etc. . . . .

That poor poor chevy. . .

They didn't bring enough load binders either. . .
 
In that it looks close to 3 cords - my whole season. Mid Sept. (not daily) to March (again not daily). To clarify. Oct. to Feb. daily.
