Quick intro

Hello members of yesterday's tractors. I didn't know the formalities of the forum so, I just wanted to do a quick introduction before I started posting. I joined the forum to expand my knowledge, and possibly network, in antique tractors and implements. My newest purchase is a farmall super c fast hitch. Let me tell ya as far as a small acreage tractor is concerned, I thought to myself where have you been all my life. What a great little tractor. I have a rhino blade, c-20 plow, c-263 culivator, and c-251 planter for it as well. Well that is my little about me. Happy to be hear.

Welcome to the forum, there is a wealth of information available here. I AM A John deere guy, but like an old
livestock farmer told me once "A good calf don't have a bad color" super C's were a mighty mouse

Welcome, and go ahead and post if you want to. Where are you? There are folks from all over. I am in Rhode Island. Do you have any other tractors or interesting
equipment. I have a couple of ACs, a WD and a B, two Economy tractors, and two Cub Cadets. All including me are retired. The tractors come out for snow removal, tractor
shows, pulls, and maybe a plowday now and then. Plus I do a little fire wood to heat with.

Welcome to the YT family. Where are you at? I have my Grandfather's 1951 Super C, I am told that it was the first one sold in our county. I
have many memories of driving it on the farm. It does not have a fast hitch but a hillside hitch, I have never seen another one at shows or in
photos.

Welcome!

Lots of great people here who are willing to share their knowledge.

Photos are always great - but it takes a few posts before the site permits new users to post pics... or else you can go to the Site Comments forum and request early permission.

Husband and I have a rusty old 1931 Farmall Regular and the rest are painted: 1935 Farmall F20, 1936 John Deere B, a Case DC3 (think it's a 1953), and a John Deere 4020 (not sure of the year).

thanks guys for the warm welcomes. I am from Iowa but have been serving in the military over the past 13 yrs and I am currently in Arkansas. So collecting has been a bit of a challenge. I have been mainly in the hit and miss/stationary small engines over the years till now. I am finally in a place were I can get into the bigger hobby till I get back home. I do have a couple of other Super Cs that i saved from going to scrap. My dad and I have always collected/worked with antique tractors together we have a couple of Allis WDs, WD-45, couple of case CCs one on steel, case cc4, Case DC, 1940 JD A, 194? JD B, Farmall C, S-C, S-MTA, 240, 460, 706 German diesel and a JD 4630 as the newest. For implements the most unique would be a case corn binder, and plow for our CCs or an old little genius plow.

Welcome. The Farmall C and Super C are my favorite Farmalls. I own two of them. The day will come when you will wish you had two of them so that you don't have to keep switching out implements. You may find yourself needing to cultivate and mow at the same time. I have plows, cultivators, and a front blade for mine. I may purchase a third Farmall C to mount a belly mower on. I found one that is in poor condition and I plan on making an offer.

Welcome! I've got a couple of C's as well. 1949 C all restored, 1952 Super I work with, but is getting pretty weak, and a C in the bone yard for parts... Pretty much all torn apart too! Bryce

Most of my tractors are Oliver or Allis Chalmers but My Farmall C is now used more than the others fitting and planting on my 8 acres. I even use it to bale hay once in a while. Fun little tractor.

thanks again for the welcome guys. Dick if you don't mind me asking. What kind of baler do you run with your c? Does it rock the tractor pretty good in heavy hay?

I don't use it in heavy hay. A baler will rock about any tractor. It even rocks my Oliver 1650. I Started baling with an Oliver 77 in the 1950's so I never think about the rocking as a problem. I still use the Oliver 77 most of the time on the baler.
