Another fatal tractor accident

I don't know the particulars, but in our area yesterday a 69 year old was killed while going down a hill and his tractor rolled. It is pretty muddy in the WV, Ohio KY tri state area so that could have been a factor. Just thought I would pass that along, Dog gone it, guys, be careful out there on the mud, ice or just plain old grass, age doesn't matter when we get hurt or killed. Keith

Another in NW PA. Man pulling out fire wood logs & Tractor came over backwards pinning him to the ground
for hours.....He was by himself..

(quoted from post at 17:24:50 01/19/17) 6 miles from me. Saturday 61 year old dairy farmer slipped on slimy soil, fell into PTO. Lost his life

What are the chances the pto shaft lacked proper shielding ?

Too bad. We have all survived potentially fatal mistakes we have made through life or we wouldn't be posting on this forum. I am not going to crucify him like what has been done here already.

The Grim Reaper is a crafty fella, if he wants you he is gonna get you one way or another.

THE PERSONAL, ASSIGNED PROTECTIVE ANGELS OF GOD, WILL CHANGE A TRAGEDY INTO AN INCIDENT...BE BLESSED, GREATEFUL, PREPARED...

I remember I had my old restored Farmall F14 parked in the barn back home and dad parked his Farmall A in front of it. They were faced nose to nose. One day he went out to start the A tractor and it was in gear. He was lucky and didn't get hurt after it started and drove forward. I asked him how the hand crank on my F14 got bent. That's when he told me what happened.
