This is no joke, police arrested two young men this morning @6 at a MacDonalds drive through in New Brunswick. There was a 3rd young man on an atv towing a sofa that the other two were sitting on all trying to order breakfast at the drive through lol. Police pulled up the guy on the atv unhooked the rope and took off leaving the sofa with the 2 drunk men behind who were arrested. The driver of the atv was later arrested as well, good grief lol

Probably intoxicated in public....a crime in places. A guy pulled up to drive thru window ordered, passed out while waiting....went into the drunk tank.

They never mentioned the driver was drunk,I think the driver got public mischief as well as the other 2 plus they got public intoxification

That is why I asked.
Around here public intoxication is drunk and disorderly
Being drunk in public is nothing unless you are also disorderly.
And Public Mischief is when someone provides false information that causes a police officer to start or continue an investigation unnecessarily.
I do not think there is a law against just being "idiots"

But never the less it is still funny.

Great!

A local radio station used to have a report called "News You Can Lose" that came on about the time my clock radio turned on in the morning.

They had a lot of funny stuff like that. The station discontinued it a few months ago, and I still miss it.

John, you are right. No one would have been arrested here if they pulled that prank as it was just fools having a good laugh. Yes the police may have responded but they would have made the pranksters clean up their mess and promise to behave. It is not against the law to be drunk in public in my state as long as you are not causing problems for others.

Our lovely PD here will arrest you if you are Walking drunk in our town but of crap but they will a few on the force here that are legit rest are dirty from the word go,,,

Local fellow here lost his driving rights for life. He would ride a bike every where. HE was drunk late one night. He went to ride through the one stop light in town and fell off his bike right in front of the town cop. Another DUI right there. LOL

Last night on our local news station, the anchor announced we should be on the lookout for counterfeit fifty dollar bills that clearly say "For movie use only" on the front and back. The picture CLEARLY showed one hundred dollar bills!

We had a situation here in Branch County last fall. Seems an Amish couple visited a liquor store in town and consumed a bit too much. Local police suggested they drive their horse and buggy home. They got lost on the way, went south on the northbound exit ramp on I69. Then went about a mile going south in the northbound lanes and turned in to a weigh station. The horse was pretty terrified by then, facing traffic at 70mph. State police and county sheriff were called. State police took away their whisky, took the couple home. County sheriff called a sheriff posse member to haul the horse and buggy to their farm. No arrest made, there's no law concerning public drunkenness in Ovid Township and no law in Michigan that concerns driving a horse while drunk. You can be arrested for driving a lawn mower drunk, but not a horse. Maybe they should have given the horse a breathalyzer test?
