With several engine jobs coming up I decided I needed a lift bar to make things a bit easier. I posted the entire build on tool talk of your interested, but thought I would share the finnished unit here. There is also a short video of how it works. Hope to try it oit tomorrow pulling the motor on my 1030.

Looks good and heavy built. Are you going to lift just the engine or the whole tractor? ;) Nice work.

Just thinking the other day, "Jon hasn't shown us any projects lately, must be busy with the new truck!". That looks good, put on a coat of safey yellow paint to show all yer hand prints and yer set to go. Glad to see some one knows how to put clevis pins in grab hooks!!

Thanks for posting this Jon. In a few weeks I will be putting the engine and transmission, yes, combined, back into the newly refinished engine bay of my roadster. I removed it with just one chain from my forklift, but control was not the best. I will have to look into building one.

Thanks for posting it Jon. I love to see projects like that. I attempt to make a few but my welding skills aren't close to yours!

Looks good jon! I made one back when my son was playing with cars & trucks. I used two inch and two and a half inch pipe.Quarter inch steel and a 3/4 inch all thread rod to move lift ring. It held a 460 and tranny.
