Having trouble with the 3 point lift arms will not stay in set position I find that I have to keep compensating. where do I start looking to correct the problem. It"s impossible to plow this way. Any help is appreciated.

May need to adjust the top link sensitivity per the owner's manual, there's a pin that can be set in three different positions. Also make sure the leaf spring bolts are not broken, three on each leaf. Could be the three point A frame arm end pins are in the wrong holes too, lower holes will not make the top link sensing work, arm ends need to be in the upper holes so the system will work correctly.

Is the lift set to Draft? on our 1100 you had to push the knob down and turn it to select "Draft Control".
