ZTR lawnmower tire update

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their help/advice on me getting tires for my ExMark mower. I did get all 4 new Carlisle tires for it. I went with the tractor bar lug type on the back and shallow ribbed tires on front. I mowed yesterday on the steep road ditch banks after a heavy rain the previous day, no problem. No sliding away down the hill. Yes the rear tires do tear up some dirt, but I can live with that. I am pleased so far. Thank you again everyone.

Sounds great. Another thing you will want to do is weight the rear wheels. Most people will say to use winter blend windshield fluid. Fill the tire 3/4 full so the tire will still have air and can flex and give you a good ride. Lowers the center of gravity down several inches. WELL WORTH the effort. I used old anti freeze from a local junk yard but some people get crazy if you say that. Have done two of my garden tractors that way. Makes them far less tippy !! Also will cut down on your Bar tires ripping the lawn cause there is less tendency towards slipping even a tiny bit. Give it a shot.
