Fresh Paint

I posted a couple weeks back about my Alamo offset flail that I centered up. I'm not normally big on paint, but this had been repainted twice and what paint was left looked really, really bad. I sandblasted it, set it up in my "paint booth", and painted it in Cat yellow.

I took it out before I painted it and mowed an acre that I do a few times a year. I was very pleased. It mowed so much cleaner than the brush hog. It's wider, so it's quicker as well.

That's why I rarely paint anything. If you do it right, you have more in time and materials than the $300/gal. I used a quart or so on this so I gained $75 in value?

I fix and sell a fair amount of stuff and never paint any of it. Sometimes a little spay paint over welds if the rest looked pretty decent to start. If I paint it, I'm going to keep it.

I tried selling a dodge plow truck a few years ago. Drivers rocker and cab corner was rotted pretty bad and prospective buyer mentioned it. I asked him if the truck would be worth $400 more if I fixed it. He didn't think so....

Jeff I can,t remember seems like you got the offset mower pretty cheap ...Sure did a good job off centering it. Take a look at what the guy wants for this one. If you can open this link. CL North Mississippi 250 bucks. https://northmiss.craigslist.org/grd/d/6ft-flail-mower/6253160772.html
