mulching deck parts

I have a lx178 john deer with a Piranha 44 inch mulching deck when I mulch it leaves a line of grass in the middle after I checked it out underneath where the blades are the heavy plastic baffles are gone.Anybody have an old deck with those baffles Thank You Or where I can get them reasonable.

Most of the time when they leave strips, the blades are worn out.

What about the 200.00 Dollar Baffles if bought new which are not there.

Remove the deck or hoist your machine up and look at the blades. They should be about 3/ 16 of an inch apart tip to tip at the most. I had to use a longer set and cut them down to get the correct setting on an odd deck. Don't make them any closer because those decks flex a little and you will hear them ticking when they hit.
