Not to hijack your question Larry, but what happens to Allen in NE. After his fire and rebuild/ renovation I haven't heard anything of him.

Allan lives about 400 miles west of me, but I followed his posts and I believe after the fire he moved out to his ranch building site which I am thinking was about 20 miles from town where he lived. probably lucky to have dial up internet instead of high speed which he had living in a college town. leroy

Allan posts a pic now and then, so I don't think there's any hard feelings. I think he's farming more now, and is in his 70's so may be about all he can do to keep up with the work.

Some others have posted "hot and heavy" for awhile, but eventually their enthusiasm wanes, and they move on to other things.

His last post was August 4th. He said there was a dust up over a downed tree, and he was facing a fine & possible criminal charges. Hope everything works out for him and he makes it back here.
