It's 'official'

We too are holding mid 90's for the forseeable future. Thought we were going to get some decent rain mid week, next week so I could get my fall crops planted but it's not going to happen. Not griping however. Sure-nuf don't want the downpours lots of folks have been getting lately.

We're in the mid to high 80's in the north east. Even the lows at night are in the 60's. I'm still enjoying my pool for a few days longer.

I believe it is hotter now than it was since back in June. And what is a headgate to turn off?

Left a conference in Lincoln, NE about 2pm yesterday. The thermometer in my Dodge said 99 degrees. I watched it to see if it kicked over to 100, but it didn't.

Believe the headgate is the irrigation ditch "dam" that lets canal water into your property/system. Delta Red is on flood irrigation land, I believe.

Weathers' been kinda screwy in Northern Illinois. Started raining in the spring, then July brought the floods and hasn't rained much if any since, was mowing lawn twice a week and a couple of days ago mowed for the first time in three weeks and that was just to knock down the weeds and walnut trees growing. Temperature hovering around 90 for a week and supposed to cool off Wednesday, better look for my winter coat.
