Not a scam...funny

I got hit up for a dollar by a girl in front of a convenience store the other day. She happened to be standing in front of a "Now Hiring" sign in the window. I pointed that out to her, and said I thought they paid about 15 bucks an hour, so she'd have her dollar in just 4 short minutes. She seemed neither appreciative, nor amused.

Years ago, there was a pizza joint we used to frequent. Before the advent of everyone paying with credit or debit cards and
when cash was king (and we still used pennies up here north of the border which have since disappeared), there was a bit of an
open coin container near the cash register that customers would use the pennies from to make up exact change (or to throw some
spare pennies into). The sign near the coin dish said .... "NEED A PENNY, TAKE ONE. NEED MORE? GET A JOB !!! Had a few
good laughs every time I saw that.
 
Couple weeks ago a guy at Walmart asked a friend of mine for 20 bucks for something he wanted
not needed.My friend told him he'd give him 40 bucks to mow his lawn.The guy refused or course!
 
Had a whole family standing out side of wally world a year or so ago.Different sign everyday will work for food, car broke down,out of need to get home.Turn out there were professional pan handlers.they must have been there for a few week before wally world kicked them off.
 
Had a guy ask my if I had a dollar he could have. I said "Sure, do you have change for a hundred?" He just turned and walked away.
