There's a variety being sold that's 2600 hu,even
2400's pushing it for here but people are growing it
anyways and claiming on 2kg milk/ cow difference?
Do those numbers sound realistic? That being
attributed to 15-18% increase in digestibility.
 
Depends what they are comparing it to. Good corn of either or any type will have but small differences in digestibility. A lot more depends on what is done to the corn after it grown.....drought, stage of harvest, whether or not it's processed, storage,feeding systems and feed bunk management. Ben
 
Yep. Good stuff. Switched in 2004, and wouldn't go back. Mycogen has a new version called "Unified" out this fall, I'm in the video on their website.

BMR will gain you 4-5 lb of milk and more fat provided you feed enough fiber. It's more digestible, so you need to feed more total pounds of silage and less grain to get the whole effect.
