Kewanne elevator

We have a Kewanne elevator that we use to load ear corn into our crib with. Last year the gear that runs the capstan for the cable to raise/lower; the teeth of the gear started to wear off last year while we
were using it. I lubed it up again, and it stopped grinding the teeth off (it literally was grinding the teeth off)

Anyone know where a new one of these could be had? LOL long shot I know, but Id like to keep it together as it should be

If you can't find one, there are gear suppliers that may stock the gear or a blank that can be easily machined to fit, or custom make it.

How is the mating gear? Best to replace both for longest life.

Miller implement in St.Nazianz Wisconsin ended up with all the parts and tooling for both Kewanne and Owatonna elevators . they did sell off some of their stuff to artsway a few years ago i guess you will have to give them a call and see if they can help.

let me dig at the shop tomowwor. i may still have the gears there, i was gonna build a hydraulic driven winch. one of those round to its, that prolly aint a gonna happen. im in n central illinois.
