IH W-30 F-4 Mag - not lining up?

On my W-30 project- ready to install my F-4 mag; this tractor came with an American Bosch Mag- ran fine but am changing over
to the original F-4 mag. When I try to bolt up the F-4 mag it is sitting back about 1/2" too far for the holes in mounting
bracket. Something has been changed to fit the Bosch mag- what do I need ? Either a different "coupler" or the front piece that
bolts to the drive? If you can help I would appreciate it. I will need a different part here if anyone has one. Thanks.

I think it could have had a Bosh but it wasn’t common. There are some guys on the Farmall board that can set you straight real quick.
 
You have the wrong "Spacer." That may be the correct spacer for the Bosch Mag. It looks a lot like the spacer for an E-4A Mag. Your source for the F-4 Mag may have the correct "Spacer."
 
Give me a measurement of that one & I will see if I have one 1/2 inch smaller. You could have some one with a milling machine cut that one down too.
 
yes I can do that...will be later; can we go by "application" ? for the F-4 mag? or "F' series tractors?
