After the Massey wouldn't run the generator steady
enough to keep the milker going I later tried a
bigger newer tractor I knew for sure had no pto
clutch issues and it wouldn't run it either without the
milker shutting down. We had a couple power
flickers during a storm last week and it was still
shutting the milker down instead of the battery
backup keeping it going during the voltage swings
so this week we replaced the ups battery backup. I
tested the Massey on the generator this morning
and it runs it fine now. With the generator going
when the air compressor or something fairly big
kicks in the voltage drops 10-15 volts for a couple of
seconds and instead of the old ups carrying it
through during the drop the milker would shut down.
With a new ups it's fine now and thankfully there
was never anything wrong with the Massey.
