I have AT&T telephone service on my cell phone.
I have Comcast Internet and TV service.
This morning when I went to Safari on my cell phone, I got a full screen popup from
walmart.newsupermarket.net
Dear client Comcast Cable Communications Inc. congratulations! following was instructions of how to enter.

I did a Google search for the walmart address and could not get out of the site!
I had to shut computer down to remove.
Also shut cell phone off and ad is still there and locked!
Can anyone explain this?

I just did a Google search for the Comcast address and discovered it is a SCAM.
Now--How do I remove it from my cell phone?
I have not clicked on anything.

Click the square boxes on the lower right of the photo then
you should get a screen like the 2nd pic. Hit the x on the
upper left of the screen that you want to get rid of. Should
work for IPhone, if you have a different brand IDK.

That worked!--Thank you very much.

Like my 18yo granddaughter said--"Papa you don't need a smart phone"---LOL

Click on nothing. Go to settings. Click on "Safari".Scroll down. Hit "clear
history".Then hit "clear cookies and data".Go back and look. Pop up should be
gone. Hopefully with no malware remaining.

Only way to get malware on a IPhone is to install it. As in installed versus just visiting a site. Deleting ALL cookies will certainly clear a site from memory but it will do just that delete them all. Kinda like shooting a rabbit with a cannon instead of a 20 ga shotgun. Most any site that uses cookies will now make him log in again. IMHO just doing away with the 1 problem seems just much more precise.

Some guys spot spray their weeds in the lawn. Other guys spray the whole thing. Either way works, some methods are just more expensive or time consuming in the end...
