Will be doing an overhaul this winter and am looking for some lint free towels to use. We always used them at Vo-Tech but cant remember what they used there. Are the blue shop towels a good deal for this purpose or is there something better?

I just typed in "lint free shop " at Amazon, it came up with several.

Doesn't mean you gotta buy them there, but you'll know whats available

Menards has the blue shop rags for $5.99 this week. I think the white ones are a little stronger than the blue personally.

Beat me to it. I have about 2 doz. from 30 odd years ago that were used 'in house'. Don't use them on oil or grease (paper or old towels for that).

There are 2 different grades of the blue shop towels. The good grade can be found at most auto parts stores. The cheap grade comes from Wal-Mart and probably Menard's, etc. The good grade is tough enough that you can actually wash them and use it again. "Bounty" paper towels from the kitchen are just as good as the cheap blue towels.
