Record Cold

They say we broke a hundred year low temp record last night. Something like -27C or -17F. Although I only saw about -5F here. "Warmed up" to maybe +5 in the sun this afternoon so I took a very short flight over the yard for a picture or two since the frost on the trees was looking scenic. It was too cold on the fingers to be out long without mitts on.

Beautiful three days ago we had the opposite, , broke a record for the high on that date 82 degrees here that day ( Middle Tennessee)

I think last year at this time we were closer to setting record high temps. I didn't have to feed hay til Nov. 21 last year. I started on Nov. 1 this year.

9pm in west central MN, I've got 0 on the thermometer, and that's an indoor outdoor on the side of the
house...........

Dat even looks cold... I had to mow my grass last week the first time I ever remember having to mow in November. We are running about two weeks behind normal frost. The latest fall frost on record was nov. 17th don't know the year.

Spose to get into the 20's Saturday night good football weather...

Rusty6,

Wow! That's a beautiful shot!

Extra cold in MN too... not as cold as you - but plenty cold enough.

We had a low of 17 last night here in central Iowa highs in mid to high 30s. Next week supposed to be 50s, I'll take it. We have no snow. A
friend of mine looked up winter forecast on farmers almanac. It says for the Midwest a warmer and drier than normal winter!

-2 f. Here right now. North central Minn. Supposed to warm back into the low 30s after the week end. We shall see...... Sod Buster

We had our first "killing frost" on Nov. 1- I think it was about 30 F. Hasn't frozen since. At this rate, I'll be mowing the lawn all winter.

O yeah , that is right, the whole warming scam has been proven to be less than accurate. Climate change is easy to prove, the climate is never the same for very long. Don't like the weather today ,come back tomorrow ,lol.

50F here this morning. Had a few small frosts. Record highs here last week in Nova Scotia. Picked a bowl of raspberries yesterday. Flowers still in bloom. Supposed to go to minus tonight. Crazy weather.

Kerry in N.S.

Western Ohio had 17F this morning while weather service says it was 23F. Had a couple of frost before but nothing to actually freeze anything. Mabey we will now get an indian summer but I have my doughts about that.

10 in central MN. the snow we got last Friday has cooled the waters and now a lot of the small lakes are frozen over. Most people are saying how early this is for cold weather, but I recall plenty of times when the lake that the farm bordered would be froze mid November. A;ot of people are talking about ice fishing already.

Wow great shot. I wonder how cold the drone can handle. Amazing, just looked up the all time recorded low for Canada ... -62F in Yukon in 1947 (if that's correct). Yikes.

Yes, there are places colder than Saskatchewan :) That drone can handle the cold better than my fingers I think. Although battery life is shorter as the temperature drops.
Its a no fly day today. Wild wind overnight and continuing has blown in warmer temps and snow. Looking kind of blizzardy out there at the moment.
