Finally done with harvest. So. central Mn. Had 4 acres beans on a farm that is just a big mud hole. Finally dried out that I could get them. 101.62 bushels. Hauled them to local
elevator and sold them. 13.5% moisture. $9.25/bushel. Still have a half day of tillage left. Bil. does my tillage but he leaves edges and headlands for me. I am a perfectionist
and he does not think he can get them straight enough to suit me. I usually finish them with the deep ripper but the cab control module went out on the Cat tractor so the fuel
shutoff solenoid will not open. I jumped it direct from battery to get it started but then the dash warning lights and buzzer do all sorts of crazy things and will not let it
electronically go into gear. Took the module out and dealer is going to send it someplace in DeMoines Iowa to have it repaired. Won't get it back for 3 weeks. So I will have to
finish tillage with the smaller tractor and disk. A day in the life.

"some place in Des Moines" is probably AG Express Electronics. They have facilities in Indiana and Nebraska too. I believe Indiana is their headquarters. I tried to get some technical information from them to help a friend, but they won't give out anything.

Your price per bushel is a lot better then ours in ne ne. Our local elevator got to $9.06[for maybe an hour] around harvest and has not been above 9 since. Got to love that cat service! One would think they could come up with something to get you going sooner.
