chore tractor runs about 1 1/2 hrs at a time how do you keep windows clear, mine fog up most of the time I use the tractor. havent got the cattle to the barn for the winter yet, got to fix a frost proff water fountain then can bring sixty head inside for winter. pigs still outside got to get them inside for winter, just running behind harvest ran longer that it should have

Does your tractor have Air Conditioning? If yes, run the AC , at the same time as the heater. Takes the humidity out of the air in the cab. If not, then on the next sunny day, park your tractor in the sunshine, and leave a window open some. It needs to dry out in there.

I almost totally blocked the radiator on my snowplow tractor. It really helped with it making more heat faster. Keeps the windows a bit more clear.

Maybe yours is different but.... on mine the ac and heat is both in one unit. The ac just draws the heat away. But yea get the inside dried out as much as possible.

And carry a clean rag or squeegee to wipe the windows

Try the window fog proof stuff from Rain-X. Works pretty darn good. First thing though you really need to clean your windows spotless. Water and ammonia in a squirt bottle and a sqweege. Clean them several times to get the oil vapor off. That fine layer of oil is a real female woof woof.

For old trucks with really poor defrosters they used to sell a gizmo that suction stuck to the windshield and plugged into the cigarette lighter that'd do a decent job of keeping the
windshield clear.

Bruce mentioned turning on the AC which was one thought I had. Also make sure you have the ventilation system set to bring in outside air. This will also help with keeping moisture out.

I agree with what has been said about cleaning the windows "thoroughly"(!!!) and running the ac/drying it out inside. Keep in mind that what's happening is that warmer moist air is condensing on the colder glass. Same thing happens when you have a glass of iced tea sitting out on a hot Summer day.

While it's not hot there right now, if you have the heat set on floor level, that's where most of your moisture is sitting from being tracked in on your boots. Make sure all your heat is going to defrosters and none to the floor; not until the cab warms up enough to where moisture no longer condenses on the glass.

I ran across a good video some months back that shows how to clean windows like I've never seen them cleaned before! If you wanna check it out, click here:

Here's a couple of videos talking specifically about glass fogging in cold weather. This young man has some impressive videos!

How about mounting a 12 volt small fan blowing onto the window glass. Works great on that back cab window. That extra air movement will help keep the glass clean.
