What kind of motor

Does anyone know what kind of motor my 841 powermaster ford has ? I've been trying to find out everywhere so I can get parts for it and everyone says they need to know what kind of motor it is before they can get the right part. All I can tell them is 4 cylinder diesel and I guess that's not enough

There were two different blocks used in the 172 diesel. Get the casting number off you block and re-post. The casing number should contain "6015", I don't think any of the 6 digit casting
numbers (310XXX) were used in the diesels.

My cheat sheet shows the C0NN6015G block to be a late 134 sleevless block. Since you are going to tear it down anyway, drop the oil pan. 172 diesels were equipped with a balance assembly.

Not all of the diesels had balancers, it was added later but no sure what year.
I had a 59 871D that didn't have the balancer, my 62 881D does have one

Look that last letter over good to see if it's a G or a C

C0NN-6015G is a 62-64 134 sleeveless block, 134 is a gas engine
C0NN 6015C is a 60-64 172D-G block

My 62 881D block is C0NN-6015J

It would have to be a C then because it's definitely not gas lol
