I remember as a kid we got a brand new 4610 in
1988. I helped haul many a load of silage ,Dad
would square bale with it and I did a fair bit of raking
with it. With a full 16' silage box on behind shifting
from first to second the front wheels would often
raise off the road a bit haha.

Larry, pretty cool toy collection you have. I still like
that really great red truck in one of your earlier
posts. I?m a Ford guy with 2 ?51 8N?s and 7 parts
tractors they I sell parts from. What other items do
you collect?

Its not that big of a collection,,it was just such great fun to hear all the great stories and memories that you all told,,it sure gave me pleasure,,and helped pass the time during my recuperating,,I would like to thank all of you for joining in,,,and this great site for letting us do it.

philip d "I remember as a kid we got a brand new 4610 in 1988" Man your still a kid compared to the majority of us!!! LOL I often look back on my youth and wish that my life was that simple. Just had to rattle your cage a little bit.

Very nice collection. I have 3 Ford tractors. 860, 861 and a 6000 (real ones). I have 4 grand kids and before they were born, I
purchased 3 of them a Ford 8N pedal tractor and one I purchased and restored a Ford 8000. They really had fun with them.

The only Ford's in my collection,,,unless
you count the big ones. The 9N that my dad
gave to his nephew when I got him the 860.

We bought a cabinet with sliding glass doors at a Yard sale years ago for 100 dollars,,its in our basement. It was pretty crowded,I gave some stuff to my nephew,,and mailed some out to good friends,,there are still plenty left if grandchildren want some someday,,Ill probably never live that long ,but hope they will play with some of the toys.

When i was a kid dad had a 4000. I spent a
lot of hours pulling a NH 256 hay take plus
pull starting the 4020 in the winter. Most
winters we would put it on the grinder to
save the trouble of starting the 4020. I
use to shovel ear corn out of an old wooden
crib and it would make that little ford
grunt if I shovled fast. The local Ford/NH
dealer had a 4230 on the lot and it was
more than I could afford( was in collage)
and dad give me the old ford to trade in.
They gave me $6000 for it! Like all dads
stuff it was washed and waxed. That was
1994 and I still have the 4230.

Two things stick in my mind from an auction more than fifty
years ago. I was maybe 9 or 10 and got to go with my uncle.
One was a ford 9n tractor that he was bidding on which was
unusual because he rarely bid on anything. It was in good
shape and he was in the bidding up to around $900. For a
while I thought he was gonna buy it but it went for $1200 or
so.
The other thing was this lady, the wife of the owner, for some
reason had an inordinate amount of facial hair on her neck
and chin. Not exactly Abe Lincoln but very noticeable. Well to
this day I don?t think she heard me but I turned to my Uncle
and said ?That lady has a beard?! Poor Uncle got
embarrassed and pulled me aside and said ?Shush! I know
her?!
Ive liked fords ever since and have my own 9n amongst my
fleet now

A 1959 641 Ford is the first thing I ever drove. I was 5 years old. If my memory is correct I started raking hay with it when I was 9. By the time I was 12 I was sent to various places all around our area to mow and rake hay with it. It is the only tractor Dad ever bought new. I still have it and an 8N that was the second tractor Dad ever owned. I bought the 8N back from a cousin when my Uncle Denton passed away.

When I was a kid I worked for one of
our neighbors. He farmed with two
tractors, a Case 630 diesel and a Ford
8n. The 8n got traded for a 961 diesel
with a loader, I really liked the 961,
thought it was a big improvement over
the 8n. This is just one of my toy
Ford tractors.

Don't have a picture but when I was three I would get out of grandmas
house and find where Grandpa was plowing with the 2n. They would watch me
go up and down the furrows untill Grandpa picked me up. He would make two
turns around the field and bring me back sound asleep.

I enjoyed working with my 67 Ford 2000 3cyl gas and 57 Ford 2000 4cyl gas before leaving my farm. I used the 67 for brush hogging and the 57 for loader work before I sold the loader off of it.

Neat.

First tractor I drove was a 960 Ford dad brought home from an auction. I was 7.

Still have it.

Found this at a old tractor show a few years ago.
