Neighbors had one till about 8 years ago, they bought it cheap with a bad engine, and swapped a combined engine into it. While it ran good, and they liked it fine , their farm had grown, and they wanted a larger newer tractor and turned it in . The big Allis tractors always looked nice, but really are no comparison to the cab design on new tractors, and if you are going to spend a lot of time on a tractor, operator comfort becomes important

I don't think parts are all that hard to find other than the MFWD parts. Those are near impossible. As for comfort, I'd put that cab up against anything out today.

(quoted from post at 06:02:39 02/26/18) that sure is a nice looking one for sure,,are they a good tractor?

Larry, in my humble opinion there is no such thing as a bad tractor. just degrees of good, LOL.

Didn't they use a White transmission and rear end? I think even the cab was a White. Only difference was the engine, hood and grill if that was the case. If so,parts shouldn't be a problem. You could go to agcopartsbook dot com and make some comparisons.

Fellow in the next county has one. He loves it. Sas it has lots of power, easy to operate. Kind of FUEL HOG,BUT NOT AS BAD AS THE jOHNdEERES HIS SONS HAVE.they hate it,so they wont run it.LOL

The 8000 series AC was 100% Allis. 426 and the 20 speed PD or 12 speed PS. When Deutz bought Allis they started using White cabs and trannys.

You gotta be a midget then. My BIL had one. I spent a lot of time in the cab of it helping him out. at 6'5" and 250 pounds I said that I didn't get in that tractor, I put it one.

It was easy to operate and seemed to have plenty of power.

When he had owned it about 3 months a seal went and he wound up running coolant through the engine lube system. The AGCO dealer claimed that some internal engine parts were NLA but that was a case of a dishonest dealer. AGCO response to the dealer lying to try to sell another tractor was "he's a good dealer who sells lots of new equipment".

Parts are still readily available. I see someone mentioned front end parts? Most often we sell u-joints and they are available. The front axles were used on other machines so I wouldn't foresee parts disappearing for them anytime soon. Great great cabs, nice controls, later ones had the better throttle. Put a air ride seat in it and you don't need anymore. Id also take the chrome pipe off and throw it away, too much glare at night.

9130, 9150, 9170, and 9190, some nice looking Deutzes! Wouldn't mind having an orange one with MFWD, got hooked on them when my dad got a video on them!

The latter whites during the duetz period were just a duetz with a cummins engine and silver paint

Friend of mine has two 8070, one with close to 13000 hrs on it with a loader and another with 7000 hrs. The loader tractor has not had a loader all its life. They get along good with these tractors and he also has 3 7040. The cabs are quite good on the 8070 but are a little tight on the 7000 tractors. I ran one of them last fall and could get in and out and I am 6' 2" 230 lbs. He is an Allis man with years of experience with these tractors and they can keep them running. Bit of a learning curve coming from some other brand but generally are good tractors.
