7700 John Deere loader

Hi I'm new here. I recently bought a 1994 John Deere 7700
and I would like to put a loader on it. My question it has
anyone tried to install a new style John Deere loader on a
tractor this old? I know you can get aftermarket loaders but I
want to stick with the Deere brand because it appears they
have the most reach and lift height. I have found a lot of 740
loaders but none close to where im located. I talked to my
John Deere dealer and I ordered all the joystick and mid
function valve already but they weren't sure if a new style
loader like the h380 or h360 will fit it. Anyone else try to do
this yet or should I just keep waiting for something else?
 
Find a different dealer. A Deere dealer should be able to tell you if a loader they sell will fit a tractor they also sell. It should be right in the specs of the loader, or in the various mounting bracket packages they sell to fit the loader on specific tractors.
 
If it is mfwd and set in 30 inch rows I would recommend getting a 741 or newer loader. On ours we have to take the front fenders off to remove the loader. You need to talk to a different person at Deere, they should know if the H series is a simple bolt up or not.
 
Koyker bought the 740 loader patent from deere and they make them now. They can use all deere replacement parts if needed. The loader is called 740 legend. there should be a lot of dealers around.
 

Ditto on locating a more knowledgeable,willing to assist dealer. Yes according to parts catalogs both H360 & H380 loaders have mounting frames to accommodate several JD 7000 series models. See keys 22 & 23 below.

Yeah that's the same information I found too but Deere didn't
want to order the loader then have it not work.
 
Thanks for all the information. It is a MFWD tractor but it won't be used for row crop anymore. I have the wheels pulled out somewhat. I'll call another Deere dealer and see what they say. Good to know about the koyker loader I didn't know that.
