Saw the Ford in Berlin,nj this afternoon. Looked really sharp. Going to work in Atlantic city you come into town and hang a right onto Atlantic ave. Went maybe 100 feet and there is a New Jersey transit bus in the right lane. Just as he starts to pass me on the right, out of the corner of my vision.......I see some idiot open his drivers door on a silver toyota. CRUNCH. sounded like one of those big cans of Christmas pop corn getting stomped on. There are idiots everywhere. That is what a rear view mirror is for. Busses are a little bigger and they win!

The car driver got a big surprise and a lasting memory. It would be one BIG surprise. Now he or she will have to drive around with clear plastic duct taped over the door opening.
 
In michigan it is illegal to open door on traffic side.ripped the door off a Cadillac in '86. Woman came around my escort passed me with wide load and pulled to curb throwing door open. Kept screaming she was going to sue me until the cop showed up and wrote her a ticket.
 
The trouble is..you know that will happen. Bus driver did nothing wrong but I bet he gets screwed. City will pay for a new door and tramma and I can only imagine what else. Everything is SO SOOOO SO Out of control.
 
Don?t know how they are in NJ but in Columbus the driver can get charged for a preventable accident even if the cops give the ticket to the other driver
3 preventable accidents in one year and your out the door
