Would never happen to my tractors

I bought a 2000 chevy tracker 4X4 (Suzuki) to pull behind my motorhome. The car is handy for short trips to town. Yesterday my wife said the car wouldn't move. To my surprise it was a qt low on transmission fluid. The car never leaked oil where it is parked, which is a good indication of an oil leak. Don't know where the oil went, but I had better keep a better check on it. I can't remember ever running my mowing tractors below the safe oil limit, Stan

Does it have a vacuum modulator valve. They can suck ATF into the engine. Pull the hose, if oily there it is. Jim

There's likely another problem. I'm pretty sure just one qt low won't keep it from moving. I may be wrong, but i also don't think vacuum modulators were used on anything that new.

No sign of a leak ...where it was parked... was the area paved? A drip here and there may not show up that readily unless always parked on concrete. Or possibly if there is an in radiator trans cooler does your radiator have a quart of ATF in it?

Did this "no go" incident happen after a toad trip?

Look under the floor pan behind tranny to see if it is nice and oil sprayed.

You don't have the push button 4x4 gear selection on the dash do you?
