Picture posted below. This is on the Front left side of the hydraulic top cover. Any suggestions? Can't tell you how tempted I am to feel this With some kind of epoxy and leave it for the next poor soul. Not going to do that but I'm really tempted... think I can get some use out of it while I figure out what to do? I can put up with a little leak.

You can blow it out with your O/A torch. You don't share much information but I will assume that you were attempting to remove a broken off bolt, so you really want to remove both the EZ out and what is left of the bolt. I will also assume that you have the cover off. The EZ out will melt and blow away fairly quickly. The bolt will take longer but it will melt without transferring much heat to the case. Take steps to catch the molten metal from going into the hydraulic case.

Thanks, bolt is old and I got a bit heavy handed with the torque wrench- snapped before max torque range. This was on the way back together so top cover is on. I'm not sure this area is as critical as it would be on the other side where the pressure is.

Using a small torch tip heat the ezout untill it's red. Throw cold water on it. Put on your safety glasses and using a punch and hammer smack it good. It will shatter like glass.

They make Tap Extractors just for this purpose,, I have a set, only needed them a few times but they have always worked to remove a broken tap
cnt

You must be one of a dozen peeps to get those to work. LOL Most of us don't have any luck with them.

I used the local EDM shop to burn the EZout out of a broken exhaust stud on a Lotus Twin cam...

(quoted from post at 17:06:16 05/07/18) like has been said torch but if you have access to a plasma cutter it would do less damage

Grizz, what damage? I have not experienced any.

Simple as can be I have taken out several for friends too who have broken them off, it sure is not rocket science to use them,, but I guess I do have 50 years of shop work to go on

A note for the next time, since you were installing the bolt it probably wasn't stuck (unless it had bottomed out-put in wrong hole) so drill it out with a left handed drill bit and it will all screw back out when the drill catches. Buy the left handed drill bits now.
