At the ranch my nephew works at, just North West of Calgary. On this site, one of three, there are several thousand head of cattle on 8000 acres. They specialize in pure bred performance bull stock. Nephew was synching heifers today to be bred in a few days....had 600 to do....makes my farm almost seem insignificant.

I ride ranches that are 35K, 60K and 120K. Of course, with stocking rates ranging from 12-25 acre per animal unit we don't have as many head.
