New rims and tires, MF 1135 pics

I finally got around to replacing the rims and tires on the old horse. The rear rims were corroded bad from calcium, they were the power adjust type rims, which I never needed to adjust. My tire supplier had these rims custom made to fit, I think they turned out pretty nice. Also replaced the front tires and rims.

Went from 11.00-16/18.4x38 to 14L-16.1/20.8x38. Old tires were Goodyear Dynatorques, went with BKT this time. Didn't want to spend the extra money on the Michelins.

Next on the list is a new interior and paint the weights. Other than the rims the tractor is all original paint.

Looks great. Your tractor is way above average and the new shoes takes it to the next level. The Perkins was a very good engine. My wifes brother had a 1080 and I spent a good many hours on it and enjoyed it. Tom
 

I've only had it since 2016, it spent all of its life until then in Iowa. Still has the original dealer sticker on the side of the hood, Farnhamville Implement. The last 20+ years were spent in storage, but I've put it back to work since I got it. Currently has around 2900 hours on it.
 
That's sharp! I love that late 70's, early 80's
stuff. I would love to have a full sized
collection of all the tractors I used to farm the
living room carpet with. (MF 1135, AC 7045, Ford
9600, JD 4440, IH 1586, I can't remember the model
of the Case)
 
That's a nice looking tractor. The brother of the guy I worked for as a kid had one with a canopy. That was a big tractor for this area in those days. I got to use it a few times chopping corn - it was pulling a NH 718 with a two row head - that Massey would about turn it inside out.

Good looking outfit . You don?t want agri bibs
anyway they?re junk the sidewalls get thin and split
after about 5 years and they pinch the tube and
won?t hold air I think you?ll be happy with the bkt
tires neighbor has had them on his 200 hp mfwd
tractor for over ten years and they?re wearing like
iron
