Learned something new

Everyone should learn something new about every day. Today I learned to strain old paint better before using my airless paint gun. It had a plug, and blew off the tip. When max pressure was at the gun, the pump should shut off. Pressure switch may need some checking, problem, it is set at the factory. Then I don't think the plugged tip is designed to take full pump pressure.Ordered another tip. So what did you learn new today? Stan

....so what did you learn today?.....

I re-learned to take the air hose and blow off brand-new paint rollers fresh from the hardware store. I did know this, but I got in a hurry. Tomorrow, I'll have to sand the lumps of fluff out of the primer on the shed door. unc

I learned when you go to the chemical supplier appreciation supper that the fried chicken is better then the baked chicken. The pulled pork is better yet.

I learned not to go for materials in the afternoon around here....construction and traffic was terrible!

I am still in Omaha working on upgrading the natural gas interconnect. We keep finding issues, this was supposed to be a 10 day project, am into 21 days now with another 10 to go. The customer is paying for correcting the issues, but my other work is piling up. I have to take a break next week, and do a little work at a different LNG plant. Mr Buffet is good at paying his bills, I do work for several of them.

That I can only consume 17 beverages before a nap is required. Poor performance I know, but I am getting older. ;^)

I learned that 3 of the tractors I was going to take to an event today didn't want to go. One had a flat tire, another had a dead battery, and the third just didn't want to run right. No time to deal with them before the weekend, so they will sit this one out. More projects for later!!

Too early in the day to claim I learned something new yet but dollar store pantyhose make excellent paint strainers.

You can come up with your own excuse when the girl at the till gives you a funny look when you bring 10 pair to the counter.

A friend of mine, and my self were in Montana to pick up feeder steers for 4H projects. We stopped at a garage sale. We bought a couple wigs to play a trick on our wife's. When paying for them we told the lady we were from California. She said, I have some panty hose also if you are interested. I think she thought since we were from California, we were a couple of cross dressers, or worse. Stan

Hello 37chief,

Me too! I have been grilling for ever always with flame under the meat. Today's i had steaks so thin, they looked more like cold cuts. So I placed them on the part of the grill with no flames under them. Worked like a champ. I know, it's called indirect heat cooking, will do it more often now, and with less flareups........

Guido.
