For a few days anyway .time for new water pump on the 4020 it?s been bad for a long time it?s never leaked but it got enough slop in the bearing that the fan grabbed the fan shroud and sent the fan through the radiator that?s was about 7 years ago patched the radiator with jb weld and now I need to find a new fan shroud but for now the new pump will do .

Looks similar to my 401 industrial. Looks like you removed the pump without removing the radiator. Just remove the fan shroud. Is that correct? Stan

You can unbolt the shroud slide the shroud back against the engine then unbolt the fan and pull the water pump .

Interesting comment about your radiator and JB weld. Where did you have to apply the repair? I have often wondered if JB would hold on something like a tube assuming heat cycling and expansion/contraction/pressure would cause it to break loose.

Picked up a new for 120$ the cheap one it will
replace only lasted 10 years before going bad and
ruining the radiator and fan and fan shroud but I
couldn?t spend 300$ for a John Deere one at the
moment . I?ll probably see if i can maybe rebuild this
other one for a spare
