Nothing too special in this sunset pic from yesterday but the colours caught my eye. If there was one today I missed it as I was inside the shed working on the radiator swap from the 53 parts car to the 52 driver Merc. I don't know if Henry Ford himself ever had to tighten those fan and water pump belts but I'll tell you it is an awful job. In fact I didn't finish but threw down the tools and called it a day half an hour late for supper. Lucky the temp got above freezing today and I could work with bare hands.

It's not that hard but takes a little dexterity, and a cool motor.
Loosen the bolts on the fan and pull up on the fan while tightening
the bolts back up. Same with the generator. Offset box end wrench.

The problem is that flat spacer/washer under the bolt that holds the generator. It gets in the way of the fan base when I try to slide it up. Even though I have ground the corners a bit on the washer it is still being really stubborn. It has to be lined up just perfect and it is very hard to see what I'm doing with the radiator in the way. An extra pair of hands would help but I'm determined to get it done.
