Greatest man in history named Jesus.
Had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
Had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.
And He gave us the CHRIST in Christmas.

You're right, most people don't know that the 12 days of Christmas begins on the 25th. In days past, when schools let out for Christmas break, it was for the full 12 days beginning on the 25th. Now it's just "winter break" whenever they want it to be. So sad.
 
AMEN! Looking forward to celebrating with a candlelight service tonight... husband is going to be one of the readers in the service.

John, thank you for posting this. I am a frequent reader, infrequent poster on this site. One reason I enjoy coming here is the feeling of small-town, country-values America that is apparent throughout this forum.

We are implored to, love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. I am thankful for a place to come where this is practiced. Merry Christmas all.
 
we had an old time country here in Stephenson Co Il who used to say only man in history of the world was perfect and he was hung on a cross to die.
I will keep that in mind as Tall Kid and I go into town for Christmas service tonight.
Christmas will be lot different this year as I had no idea how sick Susie was I meant a great Christin lady she will be coming over tomorrow for dinner and listening to Christmas opening gifts.
I don't want pity several have Virg Susie would you want to be happy.
Please pray for high school friend Richard his wife passed away Friday she was 61.
 
All good things come from Him. I am thankful for all my family and blessings. May you all have a wonderful Christmas!
