I use my 8n for plowing in the summer and snow scraping in the winter. What plug do you recommend and should I run solid copper wires?

I run NGK3112 plugs in my Fords and yes you want true wire plug wires. I have found the NGK plug holds up better then the Champ or auto lite plugs do

Not sure of the correct plug. But you should definitely run copper wire plug wires. Not the carbon/composit crap.

Points ignition, wire core. Electronic ignition, suppression wires.
The EI and spark plug battles are as bad as Ford vs Chevy, but
the Champion original plugs were H10, hotter are H12. Autolite
equivalents are 216 and 437. Buy a spare set of what you choose.
Keep them on hand and cleaned to swap if/when you flood it.
