Well, you can count every trip he made with that 4B plow. Not quite the way I would like to leave plowed ground, but there is no side hill adjustments to be made with flip over plows, like you can with a semi-mounted plows.
Loren

Forgot to say that he is smart enough to throw furrows up hill, so all the dirt doesn't end up making a big plateau on the fence line at the bottom of the hill.
Loren

But not smart enough to round off the corner towards the top of the hill to make it lay over better.

Well I like to live dangerously so I throw the dirt down hill and another thing you can?t see every pass of the plow. But one pass with the cultivator or power harrow and nobody will ever know the difference

I think the hill I posted is steeper,,is it?Its hard to tell from a picture..Im no expert on plowing,,,just found the picture and thought you might like it...hows the crawler coming?keep us posted, its a nice machine...

Yes that hill is a lot steeper the hill I?m isn?t even a hill at all barely even a slope at all maybe to a flat lander

For that steep a hill, the ridging might help slow water erosion a little! One pass with the field cultivator and it?s gone anyhow, far less ridging than a jd disk leaves.

Paul

I? like a field that?s rough after plowing because it ketches more water if there is any . If your John Deere disk is leaving ridges you should learn to make some adjustments

That picture reminds me a bit of this classic 1968 John Deere calendar shot of a 4020 (5020?) pulling a field cultivator on some similar hilly terrain. Pretty hard to keep the topsoil on hillsides like that if you are going to work it.

Man needs some cattle for sure:
He would have to build a fence however, to keep his cows from falling off his field!!!
