A 50 mile stretch of highway 21 from Goderich to Port Elgin, along the east shore
of Lake Huron, since Tuesday. We may have to launch a rescue convoy to
buickanddeere...heard he's out of ketchup.
He would do it for us, right B&D?
Ben

That's the main supply route for the entire coastline of Lake Huron..fuel tankers , home heating oil , groceries , every conceivable item gets trucked north on 21 highway. The grocery stores in Kincardine , Southampton and Port Elgin will be getting pretty low after four days , not to mention the beer store ! LOL. The entire Bruce peninsula depends on that supply route !

I have seen the aftermath of those lake effect snows. Unbelievable. Just 30 miles either way the snow is a few feet. In the snow path and it is up to the second story!

Lots of other roads into the area, Hwy 21 just happens to be one that?s closed, no shortage of anything actually, business as usual for the past 4 days.

On the south end Huron County Road 1 and Bruce County Road 1 has been taking up the slack . However closed it at highway 9 and then Glamis for a while .
Today they had 21 open long enough to get staff into the Bruce Site and then closed 21 again so staff couldn't leave.
