The manure spreader worked

I got out and spread four loads of manure this morning. The wheels didn't fall off the spreader, so I guess that's a win. I wish I had about four more loads for this field. It was about all the Massey Ferguson wanted to pull down the road!

I bet it smelled wonderful. That is a true farm smell. Cow poo in the wind. Smells like old home week. Can remember many years ago my dad figured the front lawn needed to get a little bit juiced up. Yes folks he backed the new idea flal spreader into the yard with a nice fresh runniy load. Well about one week later after a good rain storm the lawn kinda started to EXPLODE. How many times can you mow the same lawn ln a week and also have the mower deck blades spread the crap around a little more evenly? That lawn stayed very impressive for several years afterward.

I think in his first post when someone questioned the side boards, he said he was spreading Chicken Poo. There isn't anything nice about that smell.

It used to be chicken poo years ago, now sheep, donkey, calves, anything I have penned up. No need for side boards, but it wouldn't look right without them.

When my neighbors auctioned out I cleaned their lagoon. They had been economizing by bedding with wood chips. The pump would pump them into the tanker but the chips would plug the spray nozzle on the back the tanker. That was a long messy job.
