CASE experts: circle bar question

I wanted to know if there is enough of this piece remaining to put the Sickle bar in place for a piece of yard art. I don't know how it attaches. I see it needs a seat as well. Thanks for any help.

Should read SICKLE BAR for the post title. My phone doesn't always know what I'm talking about.

It slides in and the carriage bolt to the left in your center photo would be one of the bolts that hold it in place. You should see similar bolt patterns in both components.

It would be nice if you had the outboard head and swath board but, since it's not going to be operational, you could easily make up something.
It is a nice looking piece!

Thanks for the replies, I like this old sickle mower. It's coming up for sale tomorrow and I'll see if I can buy it. My limit is around $100, no telling what it will bring.

Is that the sale in tannytown?

The sale was out in west friendship in Howard County. I bought the sickle mower for $35 and found a rusty seat for another five bucks.

Years ago the owner of one of my hay fields gave me an old horse drawn mower that was in the bushes next to the field. I didn't worry about moving it, after all it was down a dead-end dirt road. Next spring when I went to mow and the original old cast iron seat was gone. Ever since then I have a disdain for antique seat collectors.
