If it cools off this afternoon we are supposed to get 3-5 inches--Bad for corn planting!---Tee

Big Tee, A trace to one inch forecast for here in N.Y. We still have plows and sanders on 2 of the trucks just in case. Big Tee at work I have a 3-53 Detroit and need to exchange the governor. The one has electric motor control and I need the mechanical control. Is there timing marks to align ? Book only has governor adjustment not replacment. Thanks for any help. Valve cover is held on by 4 philips screws isn?t that how to tell the difference between 3-53 and 3-71?
 
guess I am lucky we are not going to get snow but possibly 3-4 inches of rain starting next Monday. The rain will be just in time as the river should be back in its banks by then just to get out again.
 
Snowing and blowing here in WNY. The ground is white in spots. Could get 2-4" in certian areas by tomorrow. According to the weather guys...
 
That's no joke.

Some years ago, when I was Buildings and Grounds Supervisor for a local public school district, one Thursday we bladed snow. One week later, the next Thursday, we were mowing lawns.
 
Look i just got the lawn mower going and the first mowing done the other day . Snow blower is OFF DUTY . IF wwe get snow it will have to leave on it's own . I am not into snow removal mode now. I have a fresh supply of Crown Royal , got plenty of swiss cheese triskits and pepperoni . I can set this one out .
 
Yep - yesterday on our way home from the Le Sueur swap meet, we saw someone mowing their lawn...

Today, our lawn is steadily turning whiter as I type. Bah Humbug!
 
You are right about the valve cover screws or bolts-53 screws on outside----71-bolts in middle--But I know nothing about electric gov. I admit, I am still learning the magical world of Detroit's. Sorry--maybe someone else will answer?---Tee
