Planter plates question

I bought a new 494 4-row for a food plot planter and want to plant sunflowers. I keep seeing plates BO30-24 & B30-24. Is there a difference? Also, anybody have extra filler rings around they would want to sell? Thanks in advance for the replies.

I planted some sunflowers one year with my jd 290 planter as a oilseed test, I had to buy the rings and plates for the job,, a friend of mine who worked at a jd dealer then printed me off some sheets that had all the planter plates and then I measured my seed stock and picked the closest one in the chart it seemed to have been right as they grew very well, I just went and looked for the parts I bought but I was doing some rearranging last winter to my Case room and I have moved them it seems,, the parts were available then from jd but was not cheap really,, sorry I wish I had not moved them now,,

I have a old JD two row. I think a model 246 ??? I use the same plate I use to plant my sweet corn with. I don't change anything. I plant a 50/50 mix of Big Stripes and the small black oil. The black oil seed come right out the bag I buy to feed the birds. I'm only planting about an acre so my number count maybe off a bit but I have had very good yields. Normally the black oil seeds are all ate up by the end of August. The big strips make it to December. I'm in lower Michigan and have been doing this for ten years now.
I had an idea but mounting a tiller on the front of a lawn mower. Mounting one row drop box on the back end and then drive down in the road ditch and plant sunflowers along the road side. Maybe a project in my future. If it were to work out I'm thinking they would end up calling me the sunflower man.

Filler rings are available from Lincoln ag products. I do have a few of the with and blue along with a bunch of the same plates as you have.
Had a guy texting me about them and told him I would give him a deal on them all.

I use my old Fast Hitch 2 row planter and plates and fillers from Lincoln Ag. Good stand most years but so far this year it?s been too muddy to even put on the fertilizer.

I use a JD 247 two row to plant an acre of sunflowers every year. I have 3 different planter plates for various size sunflower seeds. I have 3 size of sunflower plates, B020-24, B050-24, and B035-24. Check eBay for plates, usually allot cheaper than Lincoln Ag.

This year I bought a 5 pound bag of large Grey Stripe from American Meadows using B020-24 plates and it worked out well.
