Fertilizer Spreader

Can anyone tell me what company made this spreader? The bin is stainless that someone painted on the outside. The sprocket needs to be replaced in the picture. I could use this thing but I need to replace the sprocket and cannot ID the manufacturer. Look familiar to anyone?

Any help appreciated.

If you know what size chain is on it, and what the shaft size is, you should be able to find a replacement without knowing exactly who made it. Just count the teeth and Shoup probably has one to fit, or that could be welded to a collar. TSC or Rural King might even have them.

Any bearing supply houses in the area ? Measure shaft size get the pitch of the chain and tooth count and they should be able help you out

dave : I have a new leader 6 ton unit and it does not look like that. most everything you can buy for them and look on the web you will find some place that supply stuff for them. have a torch ready and most thing on them don't give up the ghost easy.

I'm going to agree with Tyler. Looked at pictures on the web and it seems to match. Appreciate all the good suggestions also.

3X Tyler. Looks a lot like mine but a little smaller. Used mine last night spreading some lime.
I also think you could get a generic sprocket and repair it.

Why own one? I order my fertilizer from the elevator, drive down there a few hours later. and they have a nice spreader filled and ready. Matter of towing it home, hook to tractor, spread and return the unit for refill or not. They don't charge for it, probably figured into all customer sales.

Nice if that works for you. I also spread lime with mine. I tried for years to get someone to spread lime for me. When the weather was right they were too busy or they couldn't get their trucks up my hills cause it was too wet. Always some excuse. I found it was much better to buy a truckload of lime and spread it when I need it. Pretty much the same story with fertilizer. They can never meet my schedule.
