Is that the same as Kreme, that's seal from the inside, never used it but have friends that have, it does work, but you have to rotate the tank to get it on the metal, some have said it's like latex paint! But if u have a leak you want to fix on the outside i would use Seal All,it will stop a leak with fuel in the tank.

Vintage car guys have been using Bill Hirsch tank sealer forever ..... a single component creamy fluid that you just pour in and move the tank around so it coats all the inside surfaces. I've used it myself several times, see the link below. And not a whole lot of prior cleaning or rust removal needed (but it needs to be dry). There is another product of the same kind called Red Kote ..... similar stuff but a different color. Check it out on a web Google. Antique auto restoration shops will have it in stock, maybe some outfit nearby has either one. Here's the link ....

Seal All - what a product. In the mid 60's I had a '38 Pontiac sedan - long story. Anyhoo, the gas tank started 'pinholing' on the bottom. My Dad cane up with a sheet metal screw, a leather washer and Seal All. Worked great. When I sold the unit the bottom of the tank looked like a studded leather shield !

I seal all the tanks of my tractors with POR15 when I restore them. You have to follow the instructions to the letter and it will work great. It is a three step process. First the cleaner and about 2 pounds of flat washers to clean and break up any rust in the tank. It can take several repeats of the cleaning process. Second is the metal prep treatment and third the sealing. You will get your exercise shaking and rotating the tank, trust me. That being said, I have also repaired a pin hole leak in a diesel tank with Seals All. It took several applications, but it worked. I have also used it on a leak on a axle to transmission joint. Again it took several applications.

I agree with Oregon Tractor Jack. I've been using POR15 for many years and have never had a problem. Just follow the instructions.
