Sickle sections B- or B+

In the past I have always used the B- type section. But I am building another bar and the store was out of B- section so I am using B+ on all but 3 of the places. Reason for the 3 is I have the B- section for those 3 places and do not have the B+ So will the B+ make much difference?

I?m a very genneral way the courser serrations work well on combine heads and for alfalfa where you are cutting steamy or dry stuff.

The finer ones work better in grass.

But......there are 100 different reasons it ends up,working better the other way around, lot of variables.

I agree, breaking that many, something is out of kelter. I wonder if his cutter bar trip is working? As a rule if cutter bar parts are adjusted proper,it will break away before it breaks the sickle.
Wish he would post us photos of sickle at both ends of both strokes and lead,im thinking the cutter bar is lagging, must be 1.5 to 2 inches at outer end over pitman arm

This has started to happen out of the clear blue. I have used this sickle bar mower for years now and not had any problem till this year and what is wrong I cannot seem to find. Only thing I know is different is the lack of the ledger plate on the outer shoe and hope to fix that today if I can make one fit that a guy from this site sold me this morning.

Well the bar on the A-16 right now is the B- fine tooth and the new bar has all but 3 that are B+ so if/when the bar brakes again I'll try the one I just built
