I recently bought this metal plaque. Does anyone recognize it and know what was?

Sure, it is from an AC Bulldog Mack. Around 1929 there in. Goes on the side of the cab. Can we asked what you payed. Even when the trucks were NEW they disappeared pretty quickly. Very desirable if you are an old MACK fan. Leave it as is!!!!

Ok, thank you. I probably paid to much but $130. Awhile back I bought a 1940s Mack advertising poster that I plan on making a frame for. I intend on mounting the plaque to the frame of the poster. It'll be a winter project.

Maybe just a little high but not that bad. Do some of these prices make you feel a little better? You did fine, especially for an original. I would smile.

I've had a few trucks and the worst one was a dog. More problems than all the rest put together. I would never have another dog unless I was going to haul it to scrap.

I have two of those. In 1974 I was house sitting my Grandmother's house until it was sold and found a Mack 'C' cab in the woods behind it. It was surrounded with poison ivy which I can't go near so my Uncle went in and tore them off for me, caused some damage to them. He told me that in the 1940's or 1950's they bought the truck, stripped off the sheet metal and used the engine, trans and frame to run a saw mill. I keep the better one on the wall inside my garage. Thanks to this post and John in La I now know it is from 1921. Thanks.
