Ok, was wiring a trailer today and had my wife helping me by turning on the signals on the truck. Well after getting everything working I had 1 wire that went to a side light and before I could say no she went try and touch the new light to it and grounded it and blew a fuse on my truck and I have not been able to find it yet. It?s a 2009 Chevy HD2500 6 liter gas, fuse box says 10 amp fuse numbers 1 and 3 but there both good does anyone know if there is another one the fuse box doesn?t list any I can see. And to keep this tractor related this truck hauls my tractors. Thanks for any suggestions.

Don't know about Chevy, but my Dodge had an inline fuse under the hood for trailer hook up. It took a dealer mechanic to find it. joe

I am pretty sure there is a fuse panel on the left side of the dash. Look in your owners manual. There is a second panel on these trucks.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500 protects the trailer light circuits with four separate mini-fuses in the engine compartment fuse box. Chevy provides you with a fuse puller tool inside the driver-side instrument fuse block. Open the driver-side door and pull the cover off the fuse block to access the puller. To change the fuses, open the hood and locate the fuse box in the driver side of the engine compartment. Remove the cover from the fuse box and set it aside. The fuses that control the trailer lights are in slot Nos. 14, 15, 16 and 17. Pull each fuse out, using the puller, and inspect the metal strip within the plastic casing. If it is burnt or broken, install a new fuse with an identical amperage rating. Do not install a fuse with a higher rating or you risk starting an electrical fire. To finish up, store the puller tool and install the fuse box covers.

The information I gave you covers the HD 2500 also, the one inside the door will not help you, you need the fuse panel under the hood on drivers side,

I have a 2007 2500 HD Gasser. I think the bank of fuses for your trailer is closes to your firewall under the hood of the fuse box. Pretty much what 656 told you. Sounds like his 1500 is the same as our 2500s. It should be listed on the chart under the fuse box cover. Not always easy to follow it but its there listed.

Fuse update , it was number 25 labeled Trailer Prk., the other ones y?all suggested on mine they have nothing to do with the trailer lights but thanks for the help.
