How to preserve threshing machine?

Looking for ideas on how to treat the wood in an old Red River Special threshing machine? A lot of the wood in the straw rack and in the sieves is really dried out and wondering what was recommended to treat it with. Thinking that if it was oiled up it would be a little less likely to break when being used? Also looking for ideas to preserve the paper pulleys. Thanks, Mike

Like stated below - linseed oil. It's truly magic on wood. I would do several applications as it will initially immediately soak in. I use the stuff by the gallon. Larry
