Switched hydraulic oil

I had been running the j20c John Deere equivalent but I had seals leaking so I switched to 303 stopped the leaks but really don?t want to take chances on this powershift trans . So I ordered two Pails of liquid gold and no more leaks and no need to worry about the clutch packs . Dumped the last of the 303 in the d1000

I used a generic oil in my Jubilee. It worked fine until winter, then I had to go back to CHN 134.

When TSC had that 303, literally had two gallons fluid came out as water! I could probably drink that. Ya the fluid was cheaper but no thanks. That was back in February when we bought the backhoe.

303 and j20 are both approved and designed to use in wet brake and wet clutch tractors. They limited the anti friction additives jus for these application.

Problems happen when you use these in ""newer"" tractors that ran much higher pressures and therefore much higher heat ranges,, that you can get into problems as these newer tractors require a higher level fluid ratings.

It won?t be I?ve ran it since 2003 in the 4020 and the brake linings are fine never a spec of anything . And every couple years I do oil a cat oil analysis on everything and never had a more that a few ppm of anything . I really don?t put much stock in the doom and gloom stories maybe if you put it in your brand new 9620rx with ivt trans but in a new generation no. Like I say I?m not the only one who has ever used this oil the only difference I?ve seen is a lot more brake chatter and it?s a little slow to flow when it?s 30 below.
