Ot 1954 Chevrolet truck grill question

I am sorry to ask this here but I know old trucks and tractors go together for many of you. I tried to register on stovebolt but ran into problems so will ask here.

Is a 1954 bull nose 3100 grill the same grill as a 6400 grill. I know fenders and good are different but am hoping grill is same. I read that the 53 bar grills are a different but hoping 54 style is same. Anyone know about these?

Thanks. Jason.

Trucks pickups same grills

Thanks for replying. I should make it clearer. There is a 54 6400 bull grill available about 100 miles away that is supposedly perfect. I have a 1954 3100 that has a rough grill and am hoping they are the same.

I read that on the 53 prior trucks that the larger trucks grill had more spacing so wouldn?t work on 53 3100s. Is that the same for the 54s?

The newer grills could be diffrent in big trucks but not sure.the 53 and before are all the same.im thinking they should interchange.use tape measure and write your grill measurements down go check other grill

Here is a 54 bull nose, dont think they will looking at parking lights unless those panels for lights are removeable
Hope this helps

I bought some Grille parts off Ebay to fix my '53 regular cab 1-ton that turned out to make it a 'big truck' grille. Mine was a 3800. But these were from something bigger.

They spaced the horizontal bars upwards about another 1-1/2". Apparently the fenders, radiator and radiator mount are taller on the bigger trucks.

So I am thinking a '54 grille from a 3100 would have the same problem. It would bee too short for some of the bigger trucks.

When you say "bull grille" are you referring to a COE truck like r.w.b.'s picture? I'm guessing they are different.

Go over to Stovebolt.com and ask your question in the forums over there. They have a forum titled "Big Bolts" and the guys over there will tell you anything you need to know.

No. Just normal grill for 54. I guess I call the the bull grill because of
being beefier. Not talking about the coe. Just trying to swap a 54
6400 grill onto a 3100 but seems like it won?t work. Thanks
everyone.
